THE shirt

hi all! i hope everyone had a fabulous weekend - to those of you in Canada who helped to celebrate Canada's birthday, I hope you had a fabulous longgggg weekend!

this is a very easy outfit to re-do - all you need is some cute cut-off shorts (I made mine myself from a vintage pair of wrangler jeans), a flowy top with a secret back focal point, ankle boots, hippy-cool hair and loads of arm candy!

i absolutely adore this blouse - i love how simple and nautical it is from the front (hence my anchor necklace) but it is a real treat from the back. I'm always a fan of a showing bra a la carrie bradshaw so i made a point to have a coloured bra on.

this was a perfect outfit for a night with the girls!

dressed up maxi

first off, i'd like to say HAPPY FRIDAY! woo hoo, best day of the week by far...well, other than saturday of course!

this past weekend was one of my closest friends', Julia's bridal shower and the following is what i wore.

i wanted to be very feminine (hence the florals) but still very comfortable and classic (hence the maxi dress and blazer).

my blazer was thrifted at value village - it fit in the arms, shoulders and length, hwoever, it was quite boxy for my frame - low and behold a beautiful brooch to tighten it up in the back and voila!

my kinda comfortable

hi all and happy monday!

this past weekend was spent up north at my parents' house - i am definitely a city girl at heart but feel equally comfortable in the country too.

i love summer dressing and feel it should always be easy and comfortable - my go to outfit is a fabulous pair of jean shorts, a woven top or tank and comfy shoes.

these shorts are a vintage pair of Ralph Lauren jeans that i picked up at a thrift store for $6.99. i took scissors to them and voila, my new perfect pair of jean shorts!

once i finished altering my shorts, i threw on a woven, breezy tee, my favourite vintage belt and my comfy loafers - sunnies and some adornment and you're done!
